Appliscale’s Irish COO, Eain Jones, and our Polish CEO Michał Nieć recently had the pleasure of attending the IV Irish-Polish Innovation Forum – The Irish Advantage at the Krakow Technology Park.
The event brought together representatives of the entrepreneurial community in Kraków, Polish and Irish enterprise agencies, investment funds, Polish organizations involved in fostering innovation in the Polish economy, and the Irish-Polish business community, which Appliscale are proud to represent.
The Forum was organized by Enterprise Ireland, the Government of Ireland’s enterprise agency, in association with the Embassy of Ireland. The recently appointed ambassador to Ireland, Ambassador Emer O’Connell was in attendance along with the Minister Of State for Public Works, Kevin Moran.
Undoubtedly Ireland’s technology and innovation ecosystem is thriving and contributes significantly to the Irish economy. We were delighted to see our client AOL, recently acquired by Verizon, among the biggest names in that field.
The event was also a great opportunity to highlight the close economic relations between Ireland and Poland, especially in the information technology field, which is increasing year-over-year.
Great organisation and an amazing venue allowed over 70 participants to enjoy the talks and exchange experience during breaks. We had the pleasure to meet our colleagues from Kraków’s OMGKRK vibrant start-up community and were delighted to share our Polish – Irish experiences with the other attendees.
