Company events in Appliscale usually involve nice beverages, great food and awesome people! Since a lot of us love to play board games – in February we organized a board game party. This time it wasn’t only a board game event but our colleague’s farewell party as well. We prepared a special gift for him – we printed a gun on our 3d printer. We had a lot of fun preparing this surprise! 🙂 Marek’s reaction was priceless <3
It wasn’t too late when we decided to start playing some board games!
In the beginning, we played Codenames. It is a very tricky game 😀 For example: do you know how to connect a container, a tree, and a cloud? That’s easy, Kubernetes. Ok, let’s maybe introduce an additional rule to not use the technology… But honestly – it would be too easy for us in Appliscale 🙂
On a different table, the battle was around the card game Hero Realms. A short, 15 min game turned out to be not so short. We went fast through the rules, as only one person knew it, and we jumped into the adventure! 😀 We started slowly to understand the rules. Aaand here we are, over 2 hours into the game with no sight of the fast finish! But that’s what you get whenever a strategy comes into play 🙂
I’m not gonna lie that these last five hours have just flown by. But, with a bunch of great people, it always looks like this. Although it was a lot of fun, it was time to stop. This time we only played a few, but no worries – the board games are becoming a periodic event and a tradition in our community! Stay tuned for more events 🙂
