In Appliscale we believe that having a good team is the key to success 🙂 That’s why we focus on building team spirit and friendly relations. Our monthly integration events organized by employees are the best way to achieve it!
Our last integration event in June was apparently a lot of fun! This year’s end of June in Poland was unusually hot and sunny. And what’s the best way to integrate with each other spending some lovely afternoon in such weather at the same time? Fresh air activities, of course! That’s why I proposed to leave our office a bit earlier and take everybody to the river for canoeing down the Vistula river.
We started our journey in Tyniec, near the famous, historical monastery. The instructor was already waiting for us, so did the kayaks. After short but essential training on how to use the paddles and put on the life jackets, we set off.
Our route was 9 km long and everybody admits that it was really scenic and lovely. Almost all the time we were surrounded by trees, absorbing the vacation climate as well as the sunlight, watching gulls and wild ducks. Although we were expected to be on the water for up to 4 hours, we finished much earlier. Why did we paddle that fast? Maybe the reason was cold beer and barbecue, that was waiting for us at our destination point! 🙂 And there is nothing more pleasant than a good meal after a good sport exercise.
We all had a great time and enjoyed the moments spent together. We had an excellent opportunity to integrate with each other during sports activity and get to know each other during dinner. Everybody is looking forward to the next event, which will be organized in July by one of my colleagues. We’ll keep you posted!
